Value of you motor compared to house

Prices from when the cars were purchased against what we paid for our house is about 0.7% for my wife's and 5-6% for mine.

About 5%, although technically I don't own this house as it's in my wife and her friends names.
Hopefully soon to change with the car being worth about 2% if we manage to move house.

Hardly anything, i dont give any value to cars compared with the place which you live. I'd probably be happy to downgrade to something very basic in order to keep the house if i were forced into the situation.

That doesn't mean that i am not into cars, but i wouldn't spend big money on one - i just don't view them as worth huge money. Of course the value of money is only relative concept.

Same here, all our cars put together are probably worth 1-2% of our property.

In the next couple of years when some investments come in I will probably buy something nice, maybe a challenge stradale, but only if it's not going to cost me anything to own and I have nothing better to invest it in, but to be honest that's unlikely.

We are doing ok for ourselves but I would wince at spending more than about £8k on an everyday car tbh.

If I went out and bought the current version of my car, new, about 19%. The amount I actually paid for it at the time, versus current house value, about 11%. Current car value against current house value, about 3%.

Similar story here, maybe need slightly more for one with a garage but not much. Not as if you're talking about living in a rubbish area either
