(gotta love the daily mail sometimes)
Though I'd usually advocate leaving people to chose how to live thier own lives I do wonder if some people on benefits might benefit from more of a nanny state approach - I mean there is do seem to be a big proportion of complete cluster****s out there... I can understand someone piling on a few pounds as they get older or perhaps through depression... but when you're at the point where you need carers to help you get dressed and can't walk/stand for more than a few minutes... well someone else is also enabling him to maintain his status as a disgusting waste of DNA... it isn't like he's able to waddle down the shops on his own and buy a bunch of pies.
Ditto to the scumbags who spend 25% of their disposable income on cigarettes and alcohol... there is a reason why schools are having to set up breakfast clubs for kids - it isn't necessarily 'austerity' 'the bedroom tax' or the evil Tories... it is commonly deadbeat parents who are unable to perform simple tasks like budgeting....
I do wonder if some sort of food voucher scheme could be introduced in place of a portion of benefits both to deal with the fat people who are so disgustingly fat they need carers and to also deal with the kids who are being sent to schools on empty stomachs. If they can't manage to look after themselves independently then maybe in the extreme cases the state does need to get involved... else it will cost us more in the long term.
