Cheap Ready to Eat Oysters in London

The ones at the borough market stalls are good but quite pricey. Anyone know of any alternatives?

Not in London so I don't know, but I had a deep fried oyster po' boy for the first time last year and by God it was awesome.

Thought that was average myself, part of me wished I got the burger, unlimited fries though! I prefer tiger prawns to lobster, lobster is too much work for little meat.

Belgo in Covent Garden used to do a proper surf and turf - steak with lobster... but don't think they do it anymore, they still serve lobster by itself though - decent restaurant regardless and modestly priced for London

Honestly, Oysters, like Steak, are just worth paying for.

Maybe I had a bad batch but I got some supermarket oysters once and they were truly foul, and not in a "Oh these taste cheap" kind of way.. in a genuine "these dont taste nice" kind of way.

Had some nice ones at Wright Bros. Soho, but they weren't cheap.

Belgo is all about the beer menu! Having decently priced nice food as a side is just a bonus
