Been thinking for a couple of years now to get into water cooling but been a bit hesitant in case I bugger up my kit because of leaks.

Been looking at perhaps getting a kit as a first step and have been looking here. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=962&catid=1532

I am looking to watercool my Parvum signature perhaps just the CPU to begin with then adding the GPY's later.

Any advice really appreciated.

Hello fellow Edinburger :D
You say it's a custom Parvum, how has it been adjusted?

It's hard to give advice if I dunno what will fit.

Kits are good, but I've always preferred fully picking my own stuff

Hi there,

It is slightly bigger to accommodate the 5 PCI slots I need for my Gigabyte mobo. The way SLI is set up on these boards means that although it has three PCI slots Image here, for SLI you need to use the top and bottom hence the 5 PCi slot shield.

As for picking my own, in an ideal world this is preferable but for a first timer I feel a kit would teach me the basics before I move to a more custom set up.

The only problem with doing that is you probably decide that you don't like half of it once you get into it. Thats what happened to me. Realistically its gonna cost you this to do the whole lot.

YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-D5 Vario X-RES 100 (incl. pump) £105.95
2 x EK Water Blocks EK-CoolStream PE 240 (Dual) £39.95 (£79.90)
1 x EK-Supreme LTX - Acetal CSQ Intel CPU Waterblock £29.99
4 x Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 16/11 - UV Blue £5.99 (£23.96)

Total : £291.29 (includes shipping : £8.00).

You'll also have to find 2 GPU waterblocks probably about £75-£80 each and a bridge about £15

Not to mention fans. I don't think I am really ready to commit to what is looking like an expensive project when I am looking to upgrade my 27" monitor to a 32" later this year.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble and I will stick this thread in my favourites for future reference.
