Perhaps if you've phrased it as,

"I think I've just ran over that idiot who was riding on a moped up and down my road at 4am, some people's got to work!"

Your example shows an intention out of frustration.

The stockbroker's line suggest he may have but that's not important as he is late for work.

But we're digging into finer details that is up to police to make a case and Judges to decide. My initial response was to someone comparing this case to that with the Expat in Singapore being an utter twig.

easy way not to get fired over social media, don't post. Defeats the object but freedom of speech is long gone when it involves work.

Work will find any excuse to get rid of you if they want too. Simple as that really.
