If it is religion, then why havent 1.5 billion other people done the same act?
Could have come from anywhere to be honest, I expect the weapons were brought back from Syria via Turkey. Equally they could have been smuggled into a Mediterranean country with some illegal immigrants, or procured in a former Iron Curtain country.
If it through stupidity then why haven't all the other stupid people done the same.
If it through anger then why haven't all the other angry people done the same.
If it is through poverty then why haven't all the other poor people done the same.

They are all offended by cartoon, whether some throw stones or murder people it is all extreme, even just being offended over a cartoon is extreme. So yes all muslims are extreme.
Without religion there would be no one getting offended by cartoons, so yes make excuses all you want. It is ultimately irrelveant, if we have 100000 islamic saints who poo butterflies and only 10000 murderous nut jobs, the good ones do not excuse the nut jobs.
That would be like saying that nazi germans were not all bad, it was just some of them, the rest were just "going along with it".
Out of interest why blame all religions when the vast majority of these attacks are carried out by just one? Is it because you fear criticising Islam makes you look like a bigot, but thank that by criticising all religions it makes you look like a hip, critical-thinking scientist?

I don't blame all religions for this attack specifically. I only blame the people involved for this attack and can clearly see that it is "religion" in general that is the cause of it. Whether its islam today, it will be christianity or scientology tomorrow. So this is why i blame religion in general, its irrational and insane philosophies has brought more misery and anguish on the earth than even government or kings.
Also when we are talking about phasing out religion, we can't just talk about phasing out one religion, as that would be unreasonable. Thus why I suggest all religions have to be phased out together, including Scientology and the rest of the crazy cults.

So what if they are offended by cartoons? They have every right to be offended if they feel offended. I am offended by Japanese adult manga that depict kids. There is a fine line between being offended and committing a violent act, being offended by something doesn't automatically lead to a violent act.
People are offended all the time, cartoon or no cartoon, religion or no religion. So your point is really bizarre, and the comparison to Nazi Germany is another odd one, when you can apply the same logic to the West and brush everyone the same way too.

Last time I checked, the rest of the major religions in the world don't go kicking off against each other.

Criticising any or all religion is perfectly legitimate if that is someone's viewpoint, and they can argue it sensibly. Provided they are not inciting anything, or insulting anyone, I don't see any problems.
