Stalin ordered purges against people of religion. Atheism became mandatory and people who refused to convert to the new "religion" were tortured and/or killed.

In May 1937 Stalin announced his "Five year plan for Atheism"

Yes its to do with islam but these muslamic nutters do not represent most muslims other wise we would have carnage, they van shout god is great as much as they like, doesnt mean they speak for a religion, just an aspect of it.

More on point; be interesting to see how France reacts to this. They don't take **** and have quite menacing right wing groups. Should be fun to see this backlash.

Germany are also piping up and protesting against the 'Islamification' of the west. A minority of Muslims have brought it upon the rest of them.

Even our nations (English) great tolerance and patience is being tested... it won't end well for Muslims.
 
I want to see more activity within the Muslim community , not a twitter campaign that's crap .

Demo's on the street by the 10000s + all saying they don't represent it , exile them from the community's , shame them from the mosque .

Do you see that ? Nope.

All you get is the token one on the radio and TV . We all know it isn't all Muslims its the "minority" but that's all it takes and its happening more and more .

Good or bad the cause doesnt matter, in fact its pretty much down to the winning side what cause is the bad one. What does matter is the one thing that a lot of this species has yet to learn but can best be described by terry pratchett;

You are missing the point. Did he do that to just religious people or all enemies of the state. Was his sole purpose to atheism or was it something else. You are trying to compare something that was a component of a design with something that is totality in design. And that's why it's not a valid comparison at all. He also promoted the use of the church during WW2 - guess you forgot that part.
 
Do they not consider how weak their God, religion and/or faith must be if they feel the need to protect it/them from people drawing pictures?

Surely their God can take action if he sees fit with a nice big bolt of lightening or something?

Yes he did, Soviet era was heavily based on Marxism and atheism was the official doctrine of the state, and they were vehemently against religion and persecuted against religion and its adherents, millions were killed under this system, although it wasn't strictly all against religion followers.
 
It was bound to happen sooner or later, Parisian suburbs are notoriously unfortunate come the last few decades...

Expect huge surges in nationalist fervor and a new found love for Christian Extremism ( I fully expect a counter-assault of some respect at some point if Breivik was anything to go by).
