Anyone watched this? The first season just finished (10 episodes)...didnt really think it would be my type of show but the acting and general plot arch were brilliant. Its definitely not a female focussed show (as many would assume) and gets pretty dark and depressing towards the end.

Coming back for a second season later in the year, highly reviewed, its worth a watch if your looking for something slightly different.

Wont discuss away the ending unless others were watching it.

LOVED IT

Best new TV series in a LONG time IMHO

I doubt many people on here will watch it though (or have even heard of it).

Now...for the ultimate question..

His Wife or his Mistress

and who do we think has killed Scott?

I watched the first episode (i think it was a double?) when it aired but haven't gotten round to the rest yet. It's a bit weird.

Wife all the way! Couldn't stand Alison...didnt really think she was hot at all.

The show definitely matures through the episodes. Episode 4 onwards introduces a different change of pace that fits a lot better imo and you have a better understanding of what its all about.

There is something about her though, can't quite put my finger on it. Think he mentioned on the boat in one episode how she has that sexy depressed look. Know what he means. You're right though, wifey for me as well. I'm a sucker for brunettes, but she is gorgeous and those lips

I'm going to resurrect the thread with news that I've just finished episode 4 of the first season.

It's good so far. I still can't see past Dominic West playing almost exactly the same character as Jimmy McNulty, minus the heavy drinking. Which I am completely OK with.

Struggling a bit with this series. Seems very bitty. The main charecters are fragmenting. Noah off teaching, Alison back up in Montauk, Helen settling down with Vick.

Noah seeming to be having mental issues all feels a but vague.

The way they have made Alison so much more "mumsy" is very clever. Still there is something so gorgeous about her.

She's just lovely - it's the quirkyness that does it. Seems like a fun lass when you see her interviewed as well.

It's ok, guy from the Wire is a good actor but it dragged a long near the end.

The mistress just doesn't do it for me and I'm not picky. Just something about her.

We're 8 episodes in now; not sure where they are taking the story. I have a sneaking suspicion the relationships will come full circle and everyone will end up with who they started with, but who knows?
