We're conducting a poll to learn how many of you are going to purchase a 4K monitor in the near future. We'd be grateful if you could you post your thoughts about 4K monitors as well, listing the Pros & Cons for whether you are planning to buy one or not. Thanks.

Please standby folks whilst i ask the Dons to attach a poll to this thread. :)

I don't think so. Once I move from my current monitor (1200p / 60hz) to something new, I expect I'll probably end up going for 1440p or 1600p / 120hz +. Of course, that could all change. Time will tell. :)

You use ps4 on it?

I don't even have my 1440 monitor anymore but it was perfect size and PPI. Beautiful monitor. Its new owner is happy as well. If it was 120-144 Hz I would have never needed a monitor again.

No, my PS4 is plugged into the television. I currently have a cheap as muck 1080/60 screen. Suits my Warcraft needs perfectly as that's all my PC can play :D.

I bought a ps4 recently. Aside from the delicious AMD hardware inside, i got it for the Last Of Us Remastered. The graphics may not be up to my usual 4k standards but the acting, gameplay and sound effects are top notch. I had a lump in my throat when the girl gets shot at the start.

OK was wanting to know if ps4 up scales well.

Aye cracking game. Was my favourite of the last couple of years I think. Either that, Tomb Raider or FC3.

ill maybe go 4k when we have some nice 144hz 4k monitors and when a pc can power 3 of them for eyefinity :)

am i asking too much? lol

Might contemplate it once I see a 32" IPS available for sensible money. Also, would be nice if they could increase the refresh rate and possibly add Gsync/Freesync along with it! Maybe something like a Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD UP3214Q without the comedy price tag :) Having said that I'm erring towards going for a 21:9 1440p 34" ultrawide as I feel it's a better fit than 16:9 for productivity apps and gaming at a desk.

I'm also holding fire as I feel Windows 8 4k support in terms of apps and font/UI scaling plus a lot of apps don't support it correctly. Hoping Windows 10 will address some of these problems. Given we've had crazy high ppi resolutions on mobile devices like tablets and phones for years now it's quite depressing looking at the state of PC monitors!
