Lived in Oz for a while, absolutely loved the place.

Pretty similar to Russia in many ways (except for the weather :)).

They are in no way tolerant either, especially outside of Sydney/Melbourne gay districts which try to speak for the rest of the country.

If men were to start cross dressing/gay kissing in public where I lived in Perth they would probably get hounded out of town.

The only filth and rubbish that I know of in Europe are those who deny people the freedom to be who they are.

I think it it is positive in society that people should be allowed to do what they like in private as long as it isn't infringing on anyone's human rights.

In public people should behave accordingly.

Yes and I completely agree with them.

Much of the west in my view degressed from it's Christian roots now and is more of a hedonistic anything goes kind of place, reminiscent of Rome before the fall of the Empire.

Many people find public homosexual over-friendliness disgusting, myself included.

What kind of over freindliness are we talking about?

Holding hands? Kissing? Banging each other up against the railings?

Personally, a man kissing a man or a woman kissing a woman bothers me not - I don't understand why a show of affection would make anyone uncomfortable? But there is always the option of looking away.

As my Dad always said, "I don't mind gays as longs as they don't try to shove it down my throat".
