Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

I am sure people who are considering taking the path of Jihad will watch that and think, yep, that's good enough for me, I am going to become a jihadist.

Let's be honest, you and most other people in GD aren't really very good at understanding the subtleties of human behaviour.

Probably but he's also not paid to do it :D.

What's with all the bitchyness in this thread :(.

Unfortunately some people are proclaiming we should exterminate 1.2 billion people in retaliation for these attacks. :(

Interesting to note how "civil"* the two Charlie killers were. Apparently they let a lot of people go unrelated to magazine, even after being persued to the print works, asking them to leave... It seems they really were targeting only those they believed had wronged them and their religion.

*for the hard of sight note the "", meaning I'm not actually calling them civil at all...

It's also depressing to note Osborne is also using this to try and force through legislation that has already been thrown out several times, in the name of "security". Always take advantage of any situation I guess, even if over a dozen people have died...

Any proof of that?

Any news articles about stoning or executions in Paris?

Look up Malmo.

It's only Sweden that is letting them do what they want. Even let them rape.

But they have a stupidly insane bat nuts lefty Government in right now and would probably join in on the antics.

They truly are nutters.

I feel sorry for most people there, including Muslims.

That's the trouble with pacifist nations when it comes to elections.

I kind of feel like they weren't actually connected, but the supermarket guys were just opportunists seeing a chance to piggyback another attack. This is based on the brothers clearly being so inclined towards martyrdom, yet the supermarket attackers were seemingly bargaining for their safety when they threatened to kill hostages if the warehouse was targeted.

Speculation. Time will tell.

Seems a reasonable assumption considering the difference in tactics between the two.

Praising the terrorists again? You seem to be making a habit of this.

In my eyes the only people who can truly stand up to this and bring good their religion are other Muslims. Were they killed in the name of Islam for making satire of Mohammed or something?

I haven't read up on it because it angers me too much.

It should be the Muslim community who stand up and make public rallies asking for justice for those who stain the name of Islam. They need to make a stand as Islam is not a violent religion but as soon as a Muslim is seen they are looked down upon and feared. That is not how they should want to feel.

Killing only who they want to, how civil.

I have no problem with people that strongly believe in something, religion or otherwise. However, please don't try and force your opinions on others. Instead save yourself the bother of planning an assault; stay at home and and blow your head off in the name of god at your own convenience.

I've read reports that the French had specific warning of an attack on the cartoonists by the Algerian Intelligence Services on the 6th Jan!

If that turns out to be true then it's only going to add to what many would argue was a pretty poorly handled terrorist attack!!

Maybe that's why there were (supposedly) police guarding the door to the office and a protection officer guarding the main cartoonist? Or has it come out that the police guards weren't actually there and came later to investigate the shooting?

Good god you really are stupid aren't you...?

I'll highlight the important star...

Can you see it now? ;)

UKIP will be all over this. Going to be a strange general election coming up.

Could end up with a Green Party and UKIP coalition. LOL

At least Farage has called it as he sees it, rather than the tired old mainstream political response which has been to focus on a problem that doesn't really exist i.e. reprisal attacks against Muslims.
