what is with these muppets? seriously? why are they so thick? I don't know, do you? beats me..
Mum and Dad are with Virgin, they see the BT offer on the TV and like the look of it. The deal was:
£200 cashback
£125 sainsburys vouchers
Infinity Unlimited + Entertainment Premium HD TV + BT Sports, Phone inc Weekend Calls, YouView+ Box, Free Wireless AC Router (reviews say its good) etc etc
comes to about £38ish a month or thereabouts
Order goes through fine, gets the date for installation, dad buys an aerial from maplins and installs it in the loft blah, blah
Then things go a bit quiet for a while, so dad phones up BT. BT say they have had to cancel the order as Virgin refused the phone line transfer
so dad calls up Virgin, and I can't believe what they told him
Seems that Virgin refused to release the phone line because they were certain of bettering their deal
Yep! dad phones back Virgin and they confirm. He was on the phone for AGES listening to some guy with half a brain cell constantly telling dad his deal was better, in fact, they made my dad quite upset as it was quite a heated conversation. Finally dad gets them to cancel the virgin package. Then poor old mum goes back on to BT to re-order
Thats Part 1
If you are ready for Part 2 I'll proceed.....
so, I decide I'm having some of that so I order the same BT package (albeit Infinity 2)..currently with Sky (quite happy, but BT is a pretty good deal I reckon). Again order goes through fine and I get my date for installation. Remembering for those of you who have ordered these packages online, the first thing you have to do is input your phone and address so it checks the line and makes sure you can get the package...and I can
Things go quiet......two weeks passes by, nothing....
so, I phone up to find out what's going on. Lady on the phone says I can't have the Entertainment channels as my exchange isn't multicast, but I can have everything else. Being an IT geek I know damn well that's rubbish and my exchange is multicast ready both on copper and fibre. I'm told to call another department who are open till 9pm. Phone this other number and they close at 8pm
Phone back again to same lady who says no, no, no, nothing to do with Multicast, there's too many users on your exchange so you can't have anything. Your line is only able to support 2mb.....ERM, I get 80mb on Sky Inifnity and my Neighbour gets 80mb on BT!
poo
if there's one thing that annoys me it's idiots. I've zero tolerance these days for them.
right, where's the vodka
