Hello all,

Just phoned virgin and they said they don't provide their services at my new address. A quick search for BT Fibre in my new area says I can get 40mb but not accurate because it needs a phone number.

Can anyone help me find broadband, as fast as possible for a good price and unlimited please? I liked BT's offer with a 50 pound M&S voucher and 100 pound Sainsbury's voucher. Is it a good broadband service and really unlimited?

Thank you :)

Thank you for the reply :) There doesn't seem to be any cashback deals on at the moment with Plusnet and that's why I was thinking of BT Infinity Unlimited. Is it actually unlimited though at all times?

This is what it says on the link you provided:

That's the exact one I was looking at. Seems like a good deal to me and a good price. Keeps the wife happy with the £100 sainsbury's voucher as well :D

Thank you :)

Its only a 12 month contract too so fits perfectly with the 12 month line rental saver so you are free to shop around in 12 months time for a better deal if one is available. Its the deal I want but I have six months left on a standard bt contract and they will only let me upgrade to infinity if i get a 18 month contract and pay £23 per month!

I agree with you. I hate having to switch ISPs because you never know what its going to be like until you have it but like you said, its only a 12 month contract.
That's bad. Only new customers seem to get the best deals :(

TalkTalk have some cashback deals on at the moment, and the bundled router isn't a joke like Plusnet's one.

Plusnet's domestic cashback offers appear to be trickling back. If you can wait for a bit you may find a deal you like.

Their router is a bit basic (basically a paperweight for many people), but it does mean you get the separate Openreach modem by default so you can easily use any third-party router.

Sky has some good introductory offers the last time I checked. They also do referrals where existing customers would get £100 as does the new joiner.

I have no idea how long I would have to wait and would rather have the internet set up sooner than later.

Sky seems good if you can get the £100 but otherwise, i'm leaning towards BT Infinity because of the vouchers.

Good link. That's good news. I don't have the landline number at the moment, so can only put the postcode in.

Thank you everyone :)

I don't have the landline number at the moment, so can only put the postcode in.

You can use the address checker to get more accurate information as the postcode checker doesn't tell you if fibre is available (you only need to enter the door number and postcode into the address checker for it to give you the exchange and cabinet it's connected to which will give you all the information on if fibre is available and the minimum and maximum speeds you can get).

That's explains what went wrong the first time then lol. Thank you :)

It looks like from that information you should be able to bet an infinity 2 line and still get the best out of it, but considering the lower end on the download speed side comes close to or lower then what you'd get at infinity 1 levels you might be better of going for a 40/10 line (although you could get a 40/20 if you went for plusnets fibre unlimited package which is a download speed limited 80/20 connection).

I have signed up with Plusnet now. I managed to find a £105 cashback offer. I went with the 40/10 option because all the checks with different suppliers i've tried have been a max of 48 and didn't see the point paying the extra for that.

Thank you for all the help everyone :)

It should be up to 40/20.
