One of my GTX 690s is an EVGA card and was marketed as one of their better ones (it even came with a free T shirt) but the performance was quite poor compared to my very ordinary Asus GTX 690.

I think where EVGA bin GPUs it does reduce the chances of winning the silicon lottery.

Remember that EVGA also makes Quadro and Tesla cards. So who's to say that the chips not passing those go to the regular GeForce instead of binning the other way round? Either way, I usually wait and buy the better cards anyway.. Especially Nvidia where the reference PCB and greenlight restrictions are actual hassles.

You've had classys though

But same experience here on reference boards. One of my 780Ti did 1380 core at 1.2v. Think my lowest clocker was 1280 core, there are far worse from others

As well as reference 780's + the Titans are EVGA.
