FreeSync monitors hit mass production, coming in Jan-Feb

Do you have a complete line up of freesync compatible displays that are upcoming? It was gibbo that said one was coming in Feb, it's obviously possible for Gibbon to be wrong if you've got a complete list.

Thats what we're officially announcing for now, but yes there are more coming. As soon as i can share specifics with you, i will.

wasn't it pcper that pointed at the 34 and said there's another freesync version at 3440x1440
but they also said it was 60hz not 75 so who knows

it has to be more than one person wrong, not just shanky :)

So, what you're saying is, you can't comment?

There may well be an LG 3440x1440, but you haven't the permission to say so?

Yes, I can't comment on what monitors are coming, full stop.

I've double checked this Mei, as i noticed a few sites reporting incorrect information prior to this. Both the LG monitors are 2560x1080 @75hz.

So, the two announced LG monitors are 2560x1080.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Gibbo posted ages ago that he'd gotten exclusivity to an LG Freesync 3440x1440.

Out of interest Matt, is it the monitor manufacturers stopping you saying anything as obviously it is not AMD hardware within the monitors?

It simply comes down to the monitor manufacturers announcing their products, not AMD. When they're ready to announce, we'll be sure to let everyone know.

Sorry Matt, I am been daft. But what are AMD announcing?

Is it a list of confirmed freesync compatible monitors?

Edit: now I have re read it I think i understand now :)

To clarify, the list i posted earlier was officially announced FreeSync capable monitors. However i cannot comment or speculate about unannounced monitors that are not on that list. Hope that clears it up. :)

The uc87 is 3440, but not freesync

The 29 and 34um67 are both 2560x1080

So who was wrong, remind me?

Some of us are able to read different sources of info and decide which one is more likely to be correct.

If you're right, then props.
It's obvious you're right about what's been announced, nothing 3440x1440 and Freesync compatible.

Guess we'll wait till end of Feb see if it changes. I'd be shocked if there isn't a 3440x1440 adaptive sync in the works however.

yeh maybe its not been announced or maybe they just got confused at the show :)
its mentioned in one of the videos but I forget which lol might not even been pcper

I just had pork chops :o nomnom

Can anyone from OCUK give any insight into the announced screens they will stock and best guess for when they will be available for order / pre order

If you're right, then props.

I was more replying to shanks who decided to give me stick whilst posting links at me from websites that had misread the LG press release

You can see a load of websites misread the LG press release which didnt mention the resolution of the UM67, though the UM65 being 1080 was a big clue, then AMD clarified it was in fact 1080

i wouldnt be surprised if LG did at some point produce a 1440 widescreen with a sync, but with the UC87 and 97 being so new it could be a while

It seems the limitation is the ability of Adaptive-Sync scalers.

IIRC the Realtek will only support 144Hz for 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 resolutions, 4K capping at 60Hz. I presume any refresh rate in-between is a a function of total resolution and available processing power?
