Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

Funny that the west never experienced any of this 'islamic terrorism' until they started to invade most of the middle-east ain't it? hmmmmm

Nowt to do with foreign policies at all.

Funny also that France championed the recent attempts to legitimise the state of Palestine then a week later this happens too.... hmmmmm

Explain then why muslims in countries that the western nations had no involvement in kill each other like its a national sport. Syria being a very good point, Irans pet country, shia muslims. Isis yes, grew out of the mess that was iraq which the west must indeed shoulder some blame for creating. The shia iranians/syrians despise the sunnis and vice versa.

And as for the palestinians, yes i agree they should be entitled to a voice in the world, to be recognised as a legitimate state under recognition of the un and the icc. I have family who live in israel, and they are moderate people who do not agree totally with the action of their own government. But at the same time they are scared, theyve grown up with the threat of being shot or bombed on a night out. Something i can relate to myself growing up in one of the most violent countries in recent years.

Hezbollah leader stating that extremists are more damaging to Islam than a cartoon is.

the same leader who called for salman Rushdie and others to be killed for doing just this.

it's just a ploy for "good" publicity they know there's gonna be a big backlash and the support they just gained from France in their struggles with isreal will soon dispaeare if they don't distance themselves from this.

It is still quite a big deal for a senior Muslim leader to be so vocal about it. Besides, people wanted senior condemnation and people call Hezbollah a "terrorist" party. Whilst I think you're probably right that whilst it may be solely political, it still is fairly poignant.

I hope France don't backtrack on their true beliefs about the Middle East.

Some establishment pillock on the Andrew Marr show going on about how much better Britain is than France, we don't have an identity crisis, community relations much better etc. Wonder where he lives? Islington probably.

Yay, concentration camps! What a good idea, Hitler deuse.

They've had them in the USA for years"FEMA Camp". But people like you put a spin on it and say "concentration camp" "Hitler"

Mind you they're both on the same level. That being scum that the world had to join forces to kill them all ;)

A German newspaper that reprinted the Muhammad cartoons from the French satirical paper Charlie Hebdo has been the target of an arson attack.

“Rocks and then a burning object were thrown through the window,” a police spokesman told AFP. “Two rooms on lower floors were damaged but the fire was put out quickly.”

**

The police said it was too soon to say whether there was a connection between the attack and the newspaper’s publication of the Charlie Hebdo cartoons.

Would be very surprising if it isn't related but who knows.

What is the big thing about a cartoon of Muhammad drawn by a non-Muslim? Such a cartoon should mean absolutely nothing to a Muslim.

It's depicting the prophet regardless of religion. Iirc its against their law to make an image of him satire or not.

I could be wrong but the rule applies to most of the prophets. It also isn't actually in the quoran it's been passed down through hadiths.
