I have a problem with the word 'Islamaphobe' who conjured that one up. I do not have a problem with Islam per se, but I do have problems with fundamentalist Muslims who kill indiscriminately and will use any foul means to do this.
I also have issues with Muslim preachers seemingly being able to preach their filth yet should anyone else even say anything that could remotely be construed as 'Islamphobic' then threats of prosecution are made against the person.
How long was that abhorrent individual, Abu Hamza allowed to spout his pro fundamentalist rhetoric before our ball-less politicians finally got rid of him? Ten years I think. And there are others who use the mosques and schools seemingly to also promote fundamentalism.

who knows how Islam can reform itself? Seeing that the majority of countries it is the dominant religion in are hell-holes I have no Idea what it will take sort itself out.
Starting to realise however that maybe, just maybe the quran isn't the word of god and that religion and the state should be separated is a good start?
until such a utopia however I see that Islam is at war with our western beliefs and I'm willing to defend those beliefs against this barbaric Ideology.
it's a brilliant tool to nip any criticism of Islam in the bud right away. Same as associating it with racism.
Strange though how those supposed racists have no problems with Hindus, Buddhists, Jews etc...

Of course it shouldn't be ignored but the vast majority of Muslims shouldn't be blamed/apologising for the actions of a few.
I'm Nigerian by birth so should I be apologising for Boko Harum because they are Nigerians?
Should you be apologising on behalf of the atrocities done by Hitler (if you are white European)?
There are many people who think all Muslims are linked and believe in all the same things which the educated know isn't true.
There is a difference between this and say for example the French events. This is more a political attack for the creation of an Islamic state. Whereas the French events were a violent response to something that is deemed to be against Islam. Your point is valid for this thread but not for the other.
You'll also find it was predominantly white Europeans who stood against Hitler. Who protected and freed those he oppressed.

Apologies if I'm reading this wrong but are you saying all Muslims would have agreed with the Paris incident?
I wouldn't even call it a political attack, as the attack doesn't even benefit their alleged cause in anyway, its mindless violence by a group seemingly hellbent on revenge led by some crazy weird guy. They were a non violent group before large parts of their group were massacred by the state forces and their leader was killed back in 2009 or so.
Or focus help, support and above publicity to those organisations that believe and support Islamic Modernism? Islamism is what needs to be curbed rather than Islam itself.
Because they don't see the girls lives as having any value. They're a bunch of murdering torturing rapists who believe that they have the god given right to do this.
No, I am saying most would not accept depicting of mohammed as acceptable. How they then show that is another thing. The disagreement comes from Islamic texts the severity of response not necessarily so.
