Currently using a 650W corsair PSU that was given to me by a friend 3 years ago and I have no idea how long he had it before that. I'd like to upgrade to a modular power supply cos the one I have has a ton of cables permenatly attached that I don't use and its a nightmare if I ever need to get into the back of my corsair 540 case. So basically I need this PSU to power the following:

i5 3570k @ 4.5 Ghz
MSI r9 290x no overclock
asus p8p67m-pro mobo
XSPC photon 170 D5 Pump / res combo
5 x 120mm fans going into a fan controller
temp sensor
CD drive
1 x HDD
2 x SSD

I've never used a modular power supply before; does it come with enough cables to power all of this out of the box? Don't really want to spend more than say £100 - 120 lower than this is nice. However it would be nice to have the option to add another card in the future.Would also like it if the cables were braided blue.

Many thanks

thanks for the replys, those cable kits are quite pricey! I assume they come with more than i'd need? maybe if I buy the exact ones I need it will be cheaper? Also what is the noise like on both of these? I have a watercooled CPU and GPU and its nice and quiet, wouldn't want it making a lot of fan noise. Many thanks

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £109.99
1 x CableMod E-Series G2 & P2 Cable Kit - Blue £69.95
1 x CableMod E-Series G2 & P2 Cable Kit - Black / Blue £69.95
Total : £259.49 (includes shipping : £8.00).

The EVGA is the same internals as the Superflower but with a 10yr warranty.

You can also get direct replacement braided cable kits for it as above.

I can vouch for the EVGA supernovas. I have the 1000W version and its super quiet!! Very impressed so far so I am sure the 850w will be the same.

The cable kits will come with more, but generally it is cheaper to buy a kit than buy individually. EDIT::what cables would you like to be blue first of all as if its only a couple, it may be cheaper individually.

What about if you didn't want to buy a kit would be comfortable braiding them yourself? there are a few tutorials on here about doing it.

well I suppose the motheboard cable, CPU cable, and GPU cable would be the only ones that will be visible like you say I think ill just buy these ones individually as the rest are all in the back. thanks for the help guys
