Best download speed connection?

So current the router is connected downstairs near the entrance to the house, and my room is slightly directly upstairs. I'm using a WIFI adapter with also a little wifi extender router i got given from Sky to place in my room.

Would it make a difference I got a long enough telephone line to my room to connect the router by ethernet cable increase download speed at all or connectivity?

Be better off leaving the router where it is and running an ethernet cable from that to your PC.

A 100 metre long cable would be no slower than a 1 metre cable.

Its just tricky getting that so long cable to my room haha, would need to nail it to the side of the stairs etc, and up the walls so it doesnt get in the way lol
