New motherboard for i7 2600k sandy bridge 1155

Evening all,

Im looking for a new motherboard for a i7 2600k sandy bridge 1155 socket

must have at least 4 x sata 3

Not many to choose from as everywhere seems to be out of stock.
Previously had a ASUS p8p67 Pro but it failed and im looking for a replacment preferably not from asus.

Asrock extreme 4 looks about right for what im looking for, but i have never had anything to do with asrock in the past so not sure what they're like.

Any other recommendations?

You could use a Z77 chipset board with the 2600k. Might be more stock available of theese.

Yeah the asrock extreme4 is the z77 chipset.
which costs £100

The other one that seems to be instock is Gigabyte G1.Sniper 3 £250

You either have to look in that jungle place or the bay. Personally, I would look for a decent secondhand board.

No good if you want to overclock. The Z77 D3H is better.

If you dont mind a mATX board the Asus Gene V is great.

I recently bought a replacement board for my girlfriends PC and managed to get an 8 month old Asrock Z77 Extreme4 for £50 delivered. I know they had mixed reviews when it came to their power phase setup, but it only needs to handle a mildly overclocked i7 3770k ([email protected]).
