Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

I can't believe so many people are of the mind set;

'we best stop doing things that might upset the Muslims because they might kill us'.

Grow some ****ing balls.

I have said it again, and will repeat it. CH was NOT a magazine that just poked fun at Muslims, as some of you portray it here. It poked fun and everyone and everything, politicians, governments, all religions, capitalism, etc. It was actually one of the magazines that constantly tried to tackle discrimination, especially against the Jews and Muslims. Fighting for social integration. Do some research, or read the magazine...

Those that sit there going 'they provoked the Muslims', 'they were asking for it', etc. are part of the problem in this world atm.

The peoples of the Middle East were scientists, scholars and poets when the inhabitants of our little island were painting themselves blue and living in their own crap.

The Caliphate stifled this in a similar way that the Catholic church didn't care for theories that contradicted the Bible.

The thing is that the West had the Renessance and moved forward since.

This is the same magazine that portrayed black French justice minister, Christiane Taubira, as a monkey.

Really breaking down barriers that one.

I'm sorry but I dont want to be caught up in some random attack because a few insensitive people wanted to make fun out of a group of people.

So you would completely change your habits, the way you think, the way you express yourself and what you stand for for, just incase you upset a tiny minority.

That is why this country is in such an awkward place. Pandering to minorities.

No but I would expect those with a broader reach (The media) to be a little more responsible.

Did the people in the supermarket deserve to die over this?

Isn't that what satire is about? Not France's fault that the majority of people do not get satire...

People look at the pictures (your example and the Prophet Muhammad) and scream 'OMG RACISTS'. Read the articles? Find out what they are trying to say. Get across. Often it's highlighting peoples naivity and stupidity.

I wish someone had the stones to just say with a straight face, well since you like the Islamic state so much why don't you just move to Syria and be with them?

Ohhhh wait that's right, because the country is a hell hole with a bunch of barbarians running around with their mindsets that come from the dark ages and you'd rather enjoy the comforts the west has to offer because it's free from an oppressive archaic religion, oops I totally forgot....

The people in the Supermarket were targeted for being Jewish. Apparently the radical muslimites don't like them or satirists.

I'm fairly confident that police wouldn't send in officers to deal with a couple of guys cooly firing kalashnikovs at officers. If it was a single pistol being waved around then it might change things (you'd think not though). I've no idea how long it took an armed response unit get there, but you wouldn't be sending unarmed or lightly armed officers in.

Let's not forget, these people were linked to terrorist organisations. They weren't just ordinary muslims off the street taking up arms to defend the prophet. They were going to do something anyhow. Attacking defenceless journalists and jews grabs just the sort of attention Al Qaeda is after.

And lets not forget that provoking these crazy people is not a good idea. It was no coincidence that they targeted those journalists.
