Decided to keep my Amazon FR order, it's around £180 and I don't think the figurine and charger (I have one) are worth an additional £30 given they appear to be widely available on other bundles.

ebay has gone crazy on the collectors edition. People are buying for up to £100 thinking its out of stock.

I'm keeping my Gold XL MM - don't care who does it cheaper - I just want to be sure of one when it comes out with no messing around/delays/last minute disappointment or other hair extracting drama.

I need to pick up some other 3DS games in readiness! Any suggestions? My girls have MK7 and SMB2 so I can borrow those.

You're preaching to the choir, I already own a New 3DSXL and 3DS XL.

My opinion was on the appearance on what I consider to be the very gaudy looking special editions.
