Glasses

Im the opposite. I have had glasses for about 15 years now and I have never tried contact lenses. I have a try out at some point this month but I'm not too excited. I have a strong prescription with a lot of astigmatism as well so makes them really expensive. I just like to wear glasses and they are comfortable and I look odd without glasses as I'm so used to having them :D

Maybe OP just lives in a dirty environment?

I wear specs and wipe them down probably once a day. If you take them off once every few hours you'll always see a few specs of dust on them, there's no escaping that, but it's not something yyou really notice when wearing.

Also it's entirely normal to sense a slight perspective change if you've not been using specs for a while.. That feeling disappears after a few mins.

Some cloths that come with the specs are rubbish. It might be that.

Glasses attract muck. You'll get used to it. Providing you clean them daily, it's fine.

Wouldn't touch Specsavers with the proverbial, missed my better half cataract not just in one eye but both. Then charged her 300 quid for glasses.

I've always used them, never had an issue, they do good deals if you buy two sets, and they have a decent selection of frames.

This, I just wipe with my shirt/t-shirt with a bit of breathing to put some condensation onto the lense.

Conversely I drives me mad when I'm in a car as a front seat passenger, the amount of people who don't use thier wipers and jets the clean the screen now and again, seem perfectly happy to drive with a hazy /smeared windscreen.

Washing up liquid does not have a particularly high salt content.

I've never had to resort to a cleaning 'product' just use your breath and a decent bit of cotton fabric, such as your shirt tail or t-shirt, or some decent quality kitchen roll or bog roll if you are stuck for anything better.

I've not worn glasses for years, I use monthly contacts. Terrible for leaving them in too long, not giving my eyes are quick rest before the new set etc.

Infinitely better than glasses. At least you can wear shades :p

Completely agree. Contacts are much better than glasses, I much prefer them.

HOWEVER, please give your eyes a rest! I abused my contact lenses for years and last year got a hugely unpleasant eye infection which actually ended up scarring my eyeballs! A break every now and then will help you keep wearing them longer.
