Are there actually any ginger stepchildren on this forum?

I was thinking about the phrase 'beaten like a ginger stepchild', and wondered if it grates at people that actually are...ginger stepchildren? Especially if you are beaten.

yes, I am ginger and was adopted at the age of eight to a very religious family, I had a step sister and a step brother, both were blonde and were the family's biological children.

at the age of 15, I became attracted to my older step sister, and she to me (she was 17) we started sort of seeing each other, no kissing or anything, but spending a lot of time together,

my step father got wind of this, and started beating me, this went on for about 2 years, until I left after he managed to nearly scalp me swinging me around by the hair, leaving clumps of ginger hair in his hand.

a few years later I met up with my step sister and smashed her pastie, just for revenge, then phoned and told him what I had just done.

Frankly speaking, I'm a ginger and I was adopted at the age of ten. My step-parents have no child at all. When I was fifteen, my stepmother died suddenly and my stepfather married a lady again. She gave birth a kid within two years. Then a new chapter of my bad luck started. My new stepmother used to beat me even for a silly reason. Once she bound me to get out of home. Now I'm 38 years old and my stepfather died 5 years ago. I can't forget my step-parents anymore. Frequently I cry remembering my step-parents.
