yeah I'm shanked, it's a bit more than a day, it was all of yesterday and some in the night and this morning, just done my workout and I now I feel like i've been born again,

Gonna sort an Anaconda out after dinner, then kit it out and see how badass it is, might do a video

It does have a single player game (called Solo), but you still need a net connection for it.
In online play, are there any safe zones? I'm not a massive fan of pvp. :p

No - no safe zones. Most will have police (or the faction equivalent) bobbing about, but they're not going to save you if you get interdicted on your way to/from a station.

Yes - pen, and paper to write down prices, the Galaxy Map to locate in range systems, the System Map to see what type of economy is at the other end, and plenty of time to go there, write down their prices and compare them to the first system.

Oh, you meant an in-game tool that lets you see prices in other systems without having to go there first? What do you think this is, the future? :)
 
It's not cheating. Your just making use of a handy resource put together by players who have already gone out and done the leg work.

The only alternative is to explore and make your own log of stations and what they sell. But why bother when you'd spend a long time to get the exact same info that's alreadh at your fingertips.

The best routes I've found have been using the tool to find the cheapest commodity, then making my own route based on a little exploration, I find that the insta-routes you generate using the tool tend to get hammered very quickly,

I also think that since the recent update, the markets are affected more drastically by trading activity, earlier I was buying palladium for 12.5k and selling it for 14.6k making around 1700cr per ton profit (which is VERY good) but upon return the buy price was up to 12.9k, so I switched to gold, after a little while it dropped back to 12.5k, which i've not seen much of until the recent updates..

I've got myself a nice little route.

Single 13LY jump. One station under 300Ls, the other 450Ls

10 minute round trip (timed!). Pallidum one way and progenitor cells the other. 120T cargo in the ASP. 204,000 profit for Pallidum and around 70,000 for the progen cells.

= 1.65 million an hour!

Lol, maybe there is a strike for movie set personnel and he want to make sure the new Star Wars movie is finished this year? :D
 
yeah things breaking atm, was just kitting out my anaconda and got booted out after a transaction took like 30 secs, gawd I hope it's not a repeat of a few weeks ago..

edit - looks broken as hell atm, can't launch the game any longer..
 
Having had the game since launch, I've only just now been able to sit down, set up my joystick and whack on my headphones to start playing... only to find I can't connect to the server.
