Hey guys,
Im having huge problems with my graphics card crashing my system. Im certain its the card as I had no issues when I was running 2 580's and all of a sudden im crashing all the time.
The crash itself happens near randomly but always when playing games. Some games never crash and others always at some point.
The screen goes black, I get a message stating that there is no signal detected and the PC overall just crashes. I often get a sound loop on the crash also. To recover from this I have to hard restart the PC.
I have run various tests ranging from:-
-Mobo Bios updates
-Fresh windows install
-GPU Benchmarking (came back fine in both Furmark and Kombuster)
-CPU benchmarking (also came back fin)
-RAM testing (came back fine)
-HDD + SSD firmware updates
-GPU memory test (memtestG80). This came back with 79727 errors!
Now going on the last test I would presume this means I have a faulty card right?
But interestingly ive done a little looking around and ive read that there seems to be a pattern emerging between this type of crash (and some other variations) and the Gigabyte LGA 1155 motherboards.
My specs are: (from speccy)
Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz 25 °C
