*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I quite like that there's not anything left to grind for really, I just hop in and play whatever I feel like doing now.

I'm a little worried that they are going to have made the hard raid stupidly hard as it's the only challenge left and needs to last for 6 weeks or so until the next DLC drops. Still, as long as I can nab the Crux and a primary I'll be done with it.

I have the same feeling. Get into a good fireteam and run a few ROC's / Patrols / W/E.

Messing about also helps. I realised for the first time that Hobgoblins have tails. Now everytime I see one in an ROC I have to "cuddle the cute puppy" (discussion point around this time involved one of our fireteam mentioning how she wanted a Labra - doodle). Yes it can get quite random.... :p

There's always something left to grind for! :D
For me, I still have the following to do before the next DLC hits:

1) Rank 5 Iron Banner (got to rank 4 pretty easily while doing some exotic bounties over the weekend. 5 should only take a couple hours tonight)
2) Rank 4 with Eris
3) Level up Thorn, Bad Juju and Suros
4) Get the hard mode primaries and Crux of Crota
5) Level up my Titan (he's currently a lowly 27)
6) Create and level up a Warlock (and delete my alt Hunter :( )

That should keep me pretty busy for the next few weeks!

What's almost as annoying is the map rotation. I just played 7 games. Got Rusted Lands 5 times, Shores of Time once, and Blind Watch once (which I left immediately due to us having a level 22 AFK'r).

I got Rusted Land 4 times in a row... must be biased for that map as the weekend, it was hardly there!

See, I'm rubbish at this game, but would really love to try out some PvP.
I wouldn't want to be that guy though, that brings a team down, so think I'll give it a miss if the matchmaking is pants!

I still don't have a clue what I'm doing really, only played a week then went on holiday for ages... Just running about and shooting stuff. Still seems fun to me though. :)

Play Rumble, then you're on your own and just shoot everything that moves :)

About the map rotation, the strike playlist seems to be the same. Archon Priest came up 4 times in a row, then The Nexus another 3 times.

What Thor said.

Give it a good run so you get use to maps and learn the use of radar and types of weapon for each situation. If you are playing team, and you keep dying, the best thing to do is, slow your pace and always make sure a wall is behind or to your side.

Rushing in will just make things worst.

Good luck!

Best session since I started playing in October. Nightfall dropped a Gjallahorn for me and then a patrol drops a Legendary machine gun (Harms Way). Three shards from the Nightfall plus an event and that's me at Level 31. Shame I only get that good a feeling from the game once in four months...

I can not recommend getting Heavy Ammo highly enough! My kill rate has gone way up since I actively started going for the heavy. Using a machine gun, especially one with a large mag like Corrective Measure, you can often get a dozen kills with it.

On another note, I just got Efrideet's Spear! And I even got it for finishing top as well, which makes it all the more sweeter :)

Friends down, no bother, I'll solo the nightfall with my Warlock. Self revive should keep me safe. 30 minutes later, Sepiks on about 25% HP, weasel error.. :(

No safety from weasels.

Aargh! I now have two Efrideet's Spears! One is solar with Final Round and Armour Piercing, (so I can get one hit body shot kills through walls!). The other is arc with Field Scout, so it'll now replace Patience and Time as my arc sniper.

I just don't know whether to risk reforging the solar in the hope of getting void to replace Praedyth's Revenge. I really like the perks, just not the elemental as I already have Ice Breaker and Black Hammer.

Maybe if I have a few more games I'll get a 3rd one :D

I wish we saw either of those last night. All we got was "The Dust Palace" or, "We've stepped into a war with the Cabal" on constant repeat.

:(

Got the Titan up to level 12.5 and I am finally starting to get to grips with the play style. Still don't think much to the jump (feels like a naff version of the WL one) but the ability to drop a Ward of Dawn has proven a god send to survivability.

Also my Bad Juju is nearly maxed again which is nice. Messing about on patrol last night was hilarious. Between the two of use the Nova bombs and Fists of Havoc were raining down on the unsuspecting Fallen. :D

Didn't you know? Bungie occasionally like to drop an extra challenge call "Zoological Survivor", just when you're about to complete mission, no matter what, you get "extracted out" because that animal needs your light. :D

Either that or the game crash because the frame rate was too epic for the game to handle. Often happens to me when there's a bubble shield and something massive like a nova bomb happening up close around exploding minions.

When this happens, I really wish they would implement the same checkpoint system you get in the story missions, so you at least get some progress saved!
