it seems that there is something wrong with my current headset (interference while in a party on the xbox) and a crackling noise while using it for the pc.
now the headset is a few years old so I guess I could "treat" myself (as long as the mrs doesn't know)
current soundcard: Asus Xonar DG 5.1
budget ~£100
any help would be appreciated
main uses: gaming, occasionally watching live sports / movies and a bit of music.
