*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

At least there is a burn this week.

I couldnt face doing Rockets Mcdickface 6 times with no burn the week before last so just did the nightfalls and ignored the weekly.
With Ark on both this week should pass pretty quick, although I am not expecting anything other than more poxy legendary shotguns as rewards from the NF as I've had like 20 of the sodding things recently.

I always seem to get The Crash shotgun or Plug One fusion rifle. Been a while since I got an exotic item from the Nightfall!

I wouldn't mind a plug one in void TBH. I have a 294 attack void fusion from the ROC but could do with a 331 attack one to sit along side my Murmur (providing both arc and solar).

Last week I got Monte Carlo twice so no doubt I will get naff all this week.

Hoping for Hard Light (for the Exotic AR trifecta), void fusion or legendary solar MG. I stupidly got rid of my maxed Solar Swarm after picking up an Arc MG18A..... (yes I thought I had received a solar one...).

Hard Light is pretty decent actually....hits way harder than any of the other high RoF ARs.

Haven't had anything decent from NF for a month....maybe this time.

Got my Timurs Lash hand cannon fully upgraded after Moon suggested I buy it since I was rank 5 IB(I only got so rank 5 so I could buy the shader which doesn't even look that good tbh :p). I had to reroll it 15 or so times to get some decent perks, I was aiming for Field scout, Outlaw and any other reasonable perk to fill the last slot(I settled with crowd control). I'm getting crits of just under 2200 with crowd control active and just over 1900 without.

I'm not sure how useful the extra damage will be in general usage, but I can kill a hive wizard in one shot with its shields down and knights go down in 2. It's nice to see a hand cannon with a decent base range even if its ROF and base mag size sucks. I haven't tried it out in crucible yet but by extrapolation it should do 94 damage per shot which isn't enough to 2 shot someone from full hp, hopefully i'm wrong.

Best to ask my Destiny questions here, the official forums just seems like a mess... Plus I'd be called a n00b for daring to not know all there is about the game it seems.

For multiplayer, are the weapons/armour just as good as they are in PvE?
I've got a Plug One fusion rifle, but I'm finding it difficult to use it really due to charge time.
The auto rifle I have is rubbish, but I'm just not finding anything to replace.
As for the armour, it's just all blue stuff, sort of stuck at L24 just now...

Will I die easier in multiplayer due to armour being poor, and will I do less damage than those playing with super levelled legendary items? Or is there a clever system that balances it out?

As fun as this game is, it seems a total mess... I've not read any of these Grimoire cards that I've got, I'm not going to the Bungie site to read about a game I'm trying to play.
The drops just seem pointless a lot of the time. It needs the equivalent of a Diablo 3 Loot 2.0 patch to keep it interesting. 1 or 2 interesting Engrams in a sea on pointless green drops, which the Crypt Arch does his best to turn into mundane nonsense... Boo!

You want to be using vanguard marks to buy gear from the tower vendors. That will get you to level 31. Make sure you do the weekly heroic strike so you can use the strange coins to buy a bit of exotic armour from Xur (he only appears Friday and Saturday in the tower).

Once you get to level 28 start doing the Vanguard Roc strike playlist....regular legendary drops and occasional exotics.

Standard crucible PvP most of this doesn't matter, as gear is normalised.

Cool, had a quick go in the Crucible just for a look, did pretty grim but that is just my slowness... Will need to get on the coffee!
Just wasn't sure if my poor weapons and grim armour would be a disadvantage! Everyone loves normalised!

Will need to make sure I hope on over the weekend then, at least I can use some of these strange coins though. And can hopefully get a bit more Vanguard marks by then to buy some levels also... :)

Cheers to Chewie & Poly for the nightfall/weekly runs last night, went surprisingly quickly. Highlight was St Helm for Titan, which becomes a nice shard ready for an upgrade. Lets see what HM CE brings tonight now then.
