Theme Hospital Free on origin

I always find the GUI's overwhelmingly complex when I try to play retro games like these.

I never used to have a problem back in the 90's, but there's so many buttons.

Games certainly have come a long way in that respect. You can play XCOM on an Xbox 360 controller pad for instance.

I would also highly recommend using CorsixTH with this. It is an open source remake of theme hospital which uses the original game files. It removes a hell of a lot of bugs from the dosbox version which origin uses and adds a couple of new things too.

Installer can be found here: https://github.com/CorsixTH/CorsixTH/releases
The Readme, which I found helpful, can be found here: https://github.com/CorsixTH/CorsixTH

It may be different on your machine, but for me the resource folder was located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Theme Hospital\data\Game

you say that like it is a bad thing...games are simpler now. Can't remember the last time a modern game got me stuck either through logic or skill.
