Anyone here playing with a triple monitor setup?

I'm using a single 4k display (4096x2160), but I'm thinking of changing to 3x 24" monitors, I'm running 980GTXs in SLI, I assume this will be enough?

Is 3x monitors worth it? it looks like it is, but i've never tried it... can anyone recommend 3 good monitors, purely for gaming (especially elite), no more than £300 each.. ?

Currently looking at 3x Dell U2414H ..

Never been a fan of multi screens and never will be until they start doing bezel-less screens. Cant think of anything more off putting than thick black lines breaking up my vision.

I would hope 2 980's would be enough!

Personaly, I'm going to put my pennies into an Occulus Rift, when they release the retail version.

Hmmm .. I know what you mean, those Dell ones I linked do have tiny bezels so I'm not sure it would bother me that much, I mean - in reality so long as i've got a clear view ahead it shouldn't matter... but I do get where your coming from.

Yeah, my friend has the DK2, and i've played elite on it (lots) and it is frigging awesome, like literally awesome... the only problem is that the resolution is too low - so i'll be waiting for the retail version like you say, but it looks like it's a long way off... 2016/17?

I did run 3 screens for a long time and loved it but I found I was never really using the outside screens and was only ever giving them a cursory glance. I can see this game benefiting from it though and your setup is enough. I run 3 Titans on a ROG Swift G-Sync monitor now but would swap out the Swift for a 4K 40" 100Hz screen in a heartbeat.

OH GOD

Why am I now looking at 40" 4K screens........... works out around the same price too, I kinda think I agree in that i'll only end up taking the occasional glance at the two on the side if I go with 3x 24.., decisions decisions..

I think I'd always prefer one bigger screen than multiple ones, it's just a question of how many pixels you can afford to cram into it.

At work I have a monitor and my laptop becomes the secondary display, I basically just use it as the distraction screen with Twitter and whatnot but I kinda think I need to have less of that going on than more. Focus!

Really? I thought it would be later this year :-(

Yeah, last I heard they'd released crescent bay, which was a much higher resolution version, but that wouldn't be available for the general public, they were saying that 2015 was expected to be unlikely, but having a looking at recent news - it might just be this year,

I expect the retail version to sell like hotcakes..

I will pre-order as soon as possible, if they allow that :-D (and I can get it past the wife...)

The screen Dilemma is something I am pondering and holding back my GPU upgrade, 2 SLI 580`s @ 1920x1200 with everything on High and FXAA and everything runs fine.

Depending on rift release i might plumb for a super wide screen and a GTX 970 or 980.

I am running a 970 (in a Q6600 rig) on a 1920 monitor, runs flawlessly. Upgrading to an i5 in a couple of days :D

Fingers crossed, I'll be up and running by the weekend, computer parts finally arriving.
Stupid broke computer. Haven't played it since beta.

rofl I don't think there's enough graphics horsepower available to do 5x, that would be 10 megapixels. (9600x5400) I don't even think a 3rd 980 would make much difference there :p
