Saw an ENT consultant because I snore terribly and wake constantly through the night leaving me tired most days. I am being sent to a plastic surgeon to have a revision on a rhinoplasty I had in my early 20's, broken nose from boxing as a youngster. I had a revision of my septoplasty a couple of years ago and there is nothing more to be done with that part of the nose.

The ENT consultant recommended I use some kind of dilation device in my nose until I have the rhinoplasty to correct the problem.

I have looked around and can't really find any products that are thoroughly reviewed or reviews not loaded with bias from advertisers.

Has anyone used anything like this, recommend a specific product to choose

Not a medical thread, not asking for medical advice, just asking if people have used anything that worked to any degree or things to avoid, brands I could take a look at and try. If it does not work for me I won't grief anyone about it but if someone has used something before I can take a look and try it.

doesnt answer your question but ...

2 years ago i had my throat and tonsils cauterised to cure my really bad snoring (not over weight - probably under if anything).

2 weeks of the most intense pain i have ever eperienced, couldn't eat or drink. was permanently smacked up on tramadol and co-codamol.

Stopped snoring 100% for 8 months :D

Then the snoring started creeping back, the wife says it is almost as bad now as it was originally and wants me to have the procedure done again.... she can **** off :)

My mum used nytol from boots with some success. Wasn't so much snoring as roaring though. Iirc its a throat spray.

Failing that ball gag?

I have extra bulk inside my upper nostrils from scaring and where the bones have healed after being broken according to the ENT guy. He says the problem is all in the nose for me, throat and everything in there are fine.
