Hey all,

I was determined to go back to Android, but after using a work mates Nokia I fancy trying one as my go to from my 4s.

Can anyone tell me if the 930 is a decent choice or failing that if any new ones are due out soon?

Thanks

No top end Lumia's until Summer 2015 rumor has it. I am mighty tempted by a 930 myself, I got a 925 just for fun a few months back and see how the OS was... I have been mighty impressed.

Every app I use on Android is there and the interface is A LOT slicker. Far more responsive than any Android phone.

I've just been offered a second hand Lumia 930 for a good price so I'll pick it up tomorrow. Worse case scenario is I lose a small amount of money on a mobile phone recycling site if I don't like it.

The only thing missing for me is the Santander App by the looks of it.

I have had my Lumia 930 a good few months now and can't really did anything I don't like. There is no hsbc app but that's it.

The OS is just so slick and far more intuitive than android or ios.

I really like my Icon (despite Verizon being a bag of twunks) but only because I got a mint secondhand one on Swappa for $250 a few months ago and the comparable phones (Moto X, G2, S4, M7) were all flawed in their own ways.

Have to say though now I'd be pretty reluctant to do the same when you have the next gen Android phones to choose from, G3, S5, new Moto X, Nexus 6 etc

Main functionality is fine but the apps are still frustrating, combination of missing apps and other apps being months behind in feature parity is just something you have to get used to.

Hardware-wise the lack of glance is still incredibly annoying because of the lack of nLED. I reverted to WP8 to get BTLE working again (the supposed 'flagship' Icon is still on Lumia Black :o ) and having no glance, no nLED and no notification center is just absurd. Thank heavens for the Dev Preview though even if it does break some useful features :p

Might as well give it a try. It seems the 930 is one of the very few phones to get Windows 10: http://www.gsmarena.com/lumia_435_to_get_updated_to_windows_10_others_in_doubt-news-10870.php

Seems odd, as most sites, state all devices running 8.1 will get 10, older devices probably won't though.

I switched from Android to a Lumia 830 and love it, there are a few issue that do annoy me like screens resuming, IE for instance can be on a web page, you close the phone down and open it up again not leaving the page, and it has te reload the whole page.

And push notifications don't work as good as android, but all the Apps i used except Google apps like Youtube/G+ are missing but do have good alt's.
