My wife's S3 has started playing up recently - the battery has been rubbish for about a year but just recently it's started just freezing after minimal use that has required taking the battery out to fix!

I thought it might be because the phone was just "clogged" up with dozens of app's but even after a full factory reset it froze after about 10 minutes of use!

On closer inspection though I'm wondering if the battery has gone pop - it feels like it is "bulging" ever so slightly - not a bump so to speak but there is a definite slight raising on both sides of the battery and I'm not sure if it has always been like that!

Can someone have a look at their battery and tell me it it feels the same or whether it's flat from the top to the bottom?

Thanks...

I've just had a look at the battery in mine and there is nothing that I would call "bulging", but there are some ever so slightly raised parts on one side of the battery. Hopefully you'll see what I mean from the picture I took:

My work S3 suffered from a bulging battery.
It was substantially bigger than the replacement they sourced for me.

Other half had a battery bulge on her S4. Caused reboot loops and random crashes.

10 minutes in the Samsung Store in London and it was all sorted.

Thanks for the replies guys! The pic doesn't look any different to her's to be honest but I'm still thinking that the battery is the issue!

Might pop into the Orange shop today and see what they can offer! - I assume the battery wouldn't be covered under the Samsung 2 year guarantee??
