Ok so just to test a theory a mate told me, I hooked up a 1080P monitor, Removed my 4K panel and then played Alien Isolation which isn't the best when it comes to anti-aliasing or pixel crawling.
Now at 4K it was smooth but it was also prone to lots of pixel crawling, Also tried it at 1080P on the 4K panel with the same end result, I plug in the 1080P monitor, Fire up AI, Exact same settings albeit at 1080P and boom, Pixel crawling and aliasing is nearly negated, Which to me makes no sense at all seeing as the 4K panel has a much higher pixel density compared to the 1080P panel not forgetting to mention the insane res.
Now I know it's not my eyes as I've done this test now 6 times, Gotten the same results every single time and also gotten other peoples visual opinion.
The 4K panel used was an Asus PB287Q and the 1080P panel used was a BenQ XL2430T, Both were hooked up to the same rig using the same display port cable.
I haven't seen this behaviour with any other game, Just this one, I mainly did the test as the pixel crawling was putting me off and a work mate said to try a 1080P panel as it seems to somehow work.
Anyone got any theories ? , I call wizardry !!!!!
