So got me a Sony Mex-N5000BT.

Installed it and have a few questions i could do with answering.

Is it possible to get the unit to switch off completely after turning off the engine. I can set it to switch off after 30s but it still keeps the display on.

Can i connect it to my steering controls on a 206 (links pls)

Got plenty more questions like how to designate phone numbers to the number buttons etc but I'll have a play about with it first so as not to waste your time on things I can hopefully figure out myself but pop back to the thread later incase I cant work them out please.

Have you wired up the ignition and permanent live the right way round? The ISO adaptor leads normally have bullet connectors for these two that can be swapped if necessary. If you have, then I'd look in the manual and see if that feature can be disabled.

Steering wheel control adaptors: http://caraudiosecurity.com/fitting...heel-controls-peugeot-steering-interfaces-206 - pick the right one depending on the age of your car, and you'll also need a Sony-specific patch lead.

This, if I remember correctly the switched live and permanent live are normally the yellow and red leads on the ISO harness and should have bullet connectors to allow you to swap them over. The idea is that you use the permanent live to just keep a trickle of power so it keeps the clock set etc and the switched live to come on with the ignition so you can actually use it. If you have these the wrong way round it will just never turn off.

Yes Ive wired it the correct way, I have tried all 3 combinations and the other two ways of wiring means that each time I switch off the stereo I have to retune all the radio stations.
