A great show until it went down the spiritual side with Gods etc. and robots thinking there's a silicon heaven where they'd meet millions upon millions of very happy calculators.
Season 3 Blu Ray looks bad on some players and TVs, mine included.

I never liked this at the time but just started watching it recently - kicking myself for putting it off so long.
Very good stuff, absolutely hooked.
Also I never realised that they use the Gayatri Mantra in the opening theme - but then that makes a lot of sense with the story, cycles and "gods". Seems the creators were drawing a lot from Hinduism.

An almost perfect show. The not-so-great CGI Centurions still kinda bug me, but that's being picky. BSG and The Wire are the 2 best TV shows ever made, IMO, by quite a distance.

First time I heard the opening theme I thought it sounded familiar. Then after listening more carefully I realised that it was as I thought - it's hard to pick up because the intonation is so wishy/washy and pronunciation of course completely inaccurate. But anyway I love the artistic interpretation and tbh the meaning of the Mantra perfectly suits the themes being explored in the entire show.Nice! Had a quick good and found this:
Always wondered what was being sung.
Found this nice version of it too:
Itching to watch the show from the start again. Tried SGU the other day and it pales in comparison.
I'm going to watch another couple of episodes tonight. It's one of those series that I'm really going to be sad about finishing the last one. I'm halfway through season 3 atm.
