xiaomi mi note launched today being hailed iPhone 6 plus killer

Why would it be an iPhone killer? People moaned about the size increase of the iPhone and they're going to buy this thing instead? I'd have given it a look when my S4 died but have a 6+ now, i'm sure I'm one of just a few iPhone users looking at this in lust.

Even if it was a Samsung it would struggle but if I asked my neighbour who Xiaomi are she'd say 'Wut?'.

Link Daily Fail on OcUK = fail.

I couldn't find the original article that had all the slides :(. So just did a quick google and that was first...

EDIT: Seems the slides with the 6+ comparison was for the presentation only, the slides they have on their own site is just showing off the Mi Note.

I have a Xiaomi Mi2S. Absolutely brilliant phone. Basically spec on par with Sony Xperia Z1 Compact for about half the money. Only downer was I broke the screen after about a year but was able to replace it myself very cheaply.

I'd buy another Xiaomi without hesitation.

After stumbling across the xiaomi mi note I've since researched China smartphones and been quite surprised with my findings.
Xiaomi is now the 3rd biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world which I find amazing considering it's only a four year old compay that started out with cheap nasty iPhone rip offs.
Another China smartphone manufacturer that caught my eye was Meizu with the mx4 which also looks fantastic and one to watch.
The thing that puts me off the most is the lack of sd card expansion as it would be great to slip a 128gb card in there.

Now appears to be available to order via the link in the first post. However, the price is $489.95 + $33.00 for shipping. Presumably, it's also like to attract import duty?

Given that MWC is now so close, I'll probably wait and see what other phones are launched.

I really quite fancy the note pro when its released in march but depends on price. Been look at other phablet style Chinese phones and seems a good few coming out over next month with octocore and 3-4GB ram for less than £300

The 'cheap' Chinaphones are what have got Samsung so worried, and for good reason.
