Grim Fandango remaster now coming to PC

They'd certainly break even on it with a multi-platform release even if its merely a modernization of the original.. should run into very little trouble in porting it over because the game design concept is simple enough

I believe its an exercise to test the waters/see if theres demand to warrent going all in for a follow up title in todays market

If it improves the market for the pointy click adventure games then it is welcome.

Not seen that many of those in a while and I do like a puzzle mystery type game.

Infact a bit of not grim but fandango news.
 
It's one of my favourite games of all time! Absolutely loved it at the time, but subsequent replaying hasn't ever been as good because I can remember it all so well :(

Hopefully this re-release will get new people to play it and maybe bring a revival to the Lucas Arts style point and click adventures.
 
I tweeted Tim about wide screen stuff and he replied with.

" Many options! Including borders. That turned out to be my favorite, which kind of surprised me. Our artists do it right! :) "

So I'm glad they have some options and a border option. Oh and in case no one knew, the games coming out on the 27th Jan so not long to go. :)

The original was never a mouse point and click game it was the arrow keys from memory.

Also its up on gog.com now for £9.35 or somit. Bought it today as i am under the impression it wont be coming to steam as its a gog exclusive. Tho it might be just the first week but ah well 9 quid for a remastered version aint too bad i think plus saves me digging for my old boxed copy lol.

Gog.com dl is 3.8gb file and another smaller dl of about 22mb iirc.

Installing now, it said it needed 5.3gb and installed about 5.25gb so yeah similar to what worthy had said.

Oohh, cant wait to get stuck in and enjoy the changes. And finally some AA on in the game. :)
