where can i watch The Wire?

Am i right in thinking the show is available in the uk on amazon prime instant video?

It was on nowtv once but they took it off

Can anyone confirm or suggest any other service where i can watch it?

Also board walk empire would be a bonus!

The new HD versions should be on Sky Atlantic soon, so I'd assume they are coming back to Now TV too.

I just checked on Amazon. It's on their instant video but not on prime instant. So it's not free with prime.

i just signed up to amazon prime instant video but it wasnt there so i cancelled? so whats the instant video? something else?

Instant Video is where you can only buy rather than just pay a subscription like Prime and Netflix.

As above...

Prime = less choice but "free" with Prime membership
Instant = more choice but not free

Less than that for all of it on DVD, particularly if you pick it up second hand. I can't really see how it being in HD is going improve on the drama... But maybe that's just me...

It doesn't but it does make it more comfortable to watch on today's large screen TV's IMO.

If OP has Sky you should be able to download the entire 5 series on demand until 29th January I think. And as far as I can tell they will not auto delete after this date. It will be in standard def though of course. Better be quick, if you have Sky.

The Wire is $50 on US iTunes. Crap deal for the UK as usual.
