I was all up for buying myself the MSI R9 290X Lightening on Friday as it was £259.99 i think, bargain right?

But it's gone back up to £289.99.. To which i could get a GTX 970 for that?

I understand that the 970 has been having problems of only using 3.5GB of the 4Gb or something?

What shall i do? I'm a bit lost of what to do now

I have indeed which makes me want that 980!

I'll probably go for the vapor X posted above. looks the best, even though i would like a black and red one but hey ho

Ask in customer services, i expect they will do you a special price on the MSI 290X Lightning. Link to this thread. :)

Really? I'm also looking to buy a new PSU, couple of HDD's, SSD and some other bits so that would be very kind of them. I'll ask. Thanks for the recommendation.

If im building a complete system and getting all the parts from OCUK i often ask for a discount in the customer services dept, and more often than not i get one :)

Thats why OCUK is the best vendor in the UK imo

They definitely are, when i got my system, I paid £60 for my RAM and the next day it went down to £50, rung them up and they refunded the £10 without even battering an eye lid. Never had any problems with them.

Would never buy from anyone else if I'm honest, even if i can get it cheaper

Before you go and buy it, which Corsair 450w psu have you got? That card is pretty hungry for power and some reviews have total system power draws of 430w with that card. There's a chance that you don't actually have that much on the 12v rail and even if you do that's too close to the limits of the psu for me.
