If you could travel back in time ( one way trip )

Another vote for going back for a big lottery win.

If that makes me shallow and greedy then who gives a ****! I'll be shallow, greedy and a miles richer than any of you lot!

Go back to 2009, mine a **** load of bitcoins and sell when they hit $1,000. :)

What he said.

I nearly bought 2000 bitcoins when it would have cost me about $20 because the site I used only took bitcoins (not silk road, I ain't no criminal) and they would have sat in the wallet because I had no other use for them.

Go back in time and warn Hitler that other time travelers are coming for him.

Then buy a losing lottery ticket.

I would only go back if i can go back to when i was 14 and be in my 14 year old body. I would rock my teenage years and make sure i don't miss those opportunities handed to me on a plate (mostly women). My biggest regret is not taking up an offer from a hot 28 year old Colombian woman (skinny with massive rack) when i was 19, i knew she was desperate looking to hook up with someone for a passport and that's why i stayed away (plus i had the vibe she was a crazy one). But i should have at least pumped and dumped, it would have been an amazing couple of weeks.

I would miss the internet (until i reached uni when i was 18) but it would save a lot of time because i've already seen all the movies and TV series so i can spend time on reading different book and watch TV series and movies i missed at the time

It be a few months for lottery.
It would be nice to be less selfish and back like 200,000 years and try and advance and steer civilisation to a much different path. Imagine if you could go back then and advance society early in human rights, science, minimize religion. Introduce advance technology in at a very early stage before we get so ingrained in fairy tales.

minimizing religion would be an essential goal for that as religion stopped all scientific advance ment for about 100 years because it was considered heresy

religion:rolleyes:

About 1675 Britain, rock up to the Royal Society, teach some calculus before its invention to get membership, food and shelter. Invent and patent a bunch of relatively simple near future tech, penicilin, guncotton, the steam engine etc.. and live like a king off the royalties.

Kill Wellington at Waterloo so all our royal family and the parasites around would have been shot/hung.

Why do people assume that if you were to go back in time the lottery numbers would be the same? The same draw is done every week using the same machines, the same balls (all placed into the machine in the same order) and yet we get different results every week. So why wouldn't you get different results if you went back in time and re-did the draw?

Betting the same numbers will come up is a massive gamble in itself.

Because what happened, happened? Why do you assume that if you went back in time things would be different?

A lot of you are also assuming both time and space travel. It would be a challenge to get to the grassy knoll if you went back to 1963 England and had no money.

Did it? If you accurately measure a particle's position at 10:00 am, go back two minutes in time and this time you measure its exact velocity at 10:00, guess what happens?

You'd have had the skills and backing to not only do that but get taken seriously in a world without knowledge of those things?

If so, you have whats needed to make it without needing a time machine.

The backing? What backing exactly do you think they had back when they very first started?
