So, I'm confused. After everyone got annoyed when the expansion came out, and the weekly strike was expansion-only, bungie said it was only for that one week. So, why has it come up again this week?

The cynical answer is to get people to buy the DLC. I bought the DLC on the American Xbox store for £20 but I still think it's poor planning to have to lock people out of activities they been doing for months. The DLC isn't the best value for money either really.

All in my opinion of course. :)

Could be that simple, in which case it was a schoolboy error. I find it hard to believe that neither of us noticed this throughout the run though. Apologies for wasting 20 minutes of your time if that's the case djcj :p

Judging by when I helped my wife through a level 24 weekly heroic I can easily see why you wouldn't notice it being at that level. Unless you are under levelled the differences are minimal. you still get all of the same yellow bar enemies in the same place with tank loads of health.

Got through 2 NF's and a single WH last night before having to call it on the Omnigul strike. I can only face so much of her screaming. Ran with Fang / LDR 5001 / Gjallarhorn for all of the runs.

No real issue apart from the boss room. Attempting to get a clear shot on her with the volume of arc fire was "interesting". Gjallarhorn made short work of her (when you arn't dying to enemies jumping in the way of the rocket....)

So far I have received:

- Exotic Titan gauntlets = immediately sharded
- Arc Calming fusion rifle (seriously, why no void one.... :() - sharded.

- 9 SC & blue engrams.

Still hoping on Red Death from the last NF as I could really do with it for the CE HM runs.

Jumped onto a couple of ROCS after and, oh dear. First strike was the Undying mind running with two people who had clearly never done it before. I think I played medic 8 times in the opening area. I persevered through picking them up as we went (wave area was fun...). Beat it and I got the "Walking tall" bounty done :D.

Next strike was The Devil's Lair and OMG I had to play medic AGAIN!.... They both went down at Sepiks Prime, so I finished the strike solo (Vex + 150 round Culling = easy mode).

I am quite suprised to see level 27+ guardians still try to melee the Walker.. Surely they know the tactics on one of these by now?!

You sure they weren't messing about?

In public event, when there's others firing at the Devil, I like running in shot gun and smashing the devil's hind legs, then melee his core when exposed...

There was never any decision to not have DLC content come up on weekly/dailies....so nothing's changed.

Similarly, i'm fond of jumping on top and seeing how long i can dance for. Fallen walker rodeo!

Game seems like fun, played for 2hours~ last night, got to lv5 and had a match of PVP. PVP was cool expect a few people had some pretty epic hand guns that kill in 1 hit, need to get used to things a bit more since I've not played an FPS on a console for a bit.

PvP is normalised, so all guns are impact dependent for overall damage.

1 Hit kill guns are:

Shotgun at close range - close enough to melee = dead now.
Sniper ranged - Headshot only one hit kill
Fusion Rifle, close to midrange, assuming all blast hits target or last bit rides to the head = one hit kill

Heavies are as heavies do, usually 3 bullet from LMG or 1 rocket but blast damage affects reach from blast.

No Primaries can 1 hit kill, even with head shot.
Unless of course, you had parts of your shield taken down from crossfire / melee.

Hope this helps.

Hawkmoon kills in 1 hit if both perks stack on a single bullet, which actually happens quite a lot.

Am really loving this game, but once you get to lvl 20+ it starts to become something of a grind!

Really struggling to get past lvl 26 at the moment, which seemed to take an age in itself to get from lvl 25 to lvl 26. Think the problem is that the drops I've been currently getting on dailys and strikes has been pretty poor.

I've managed to lvl up my Vanguard ranking to lvl 2, so purchased my first piece of purple armour. But now I've got the long grind to lvl 3 so I can purchase purple weapons.

Don't think it really helps much that my brother is the only other person I play Destiny with, and he's currently stuck at lvl 25.

If you're level 26 then get into the Vault of Glass....I'm not gonna be on Destiny much for the next few weeks, but I could help run through you through the raid on Saturday afternoon, from 2pm GMT? I'm sure there'd be a few others here that could help out. Hell, we could probably bring your brother through if he doesn't mind being dead a lot :)

Cheers for the advice and offer buddy, very much appreciated.

I should have perhaps mentioned that I'm playing Destiny on a Xbone in my original post.

Add us Xboners (ha!).

We do run VoG every so often but it's actually better for you to grind abit for Vanguard Marks / Crucibles mark then buy stuff from vendor.

Running weeklies and nightfall though, we can help :) Might get you something nice along the way / Strang Coins for Xur.

e: Grinding Reps isn't too bad on Earth, get the timetable and run around public events helps speed things up and break the grind up a little.

VoG is still the entry point for raiding, I would always start there. You get plenty of ascendant materials and exotics. Besides that, it's still the best part of Destiny...

I would just do VoG, weeklies, public events and stash ascendant materials for the next DLC to drop....you don't have time to gear up to 32 with Crota's End gear (lucky you, it sucks), so might as well just get ready for House of Wolves :)
