As someone working in media, shouldn't she have a clue what should roughly interest half of the population?!
Shes a researcher and just looking for interesting ideas thats all![]()

How do you think people get ideas for shows. They ask people questions on what they wanna or are interested in seeing, or alternativly get asked by a company to make a show about them presumably for some free advertising
Also who said it couldnt be about a minority or niche group?
We need a new Morse.
Your original post where you said shows men like...not groups!
I think people get ideas by brain storming then asking sample groups if the ideas appeal to them. I don't think they get ideas by asking someone else theirs and passing them off as their own.
There's a word for that.

lol yea whole thread seems like she's in the wrong line of work if she's been asked to come up with a show idea and instantly disappears to the internet forums.
what is this someones course work?
A board member has asked for a few ideas and you guys want the UN to lynch him for weapons-grade plagiarism.
It's called "Market Research" and it happens all the time.I don't think they get ideas by asking someone else theirs and passing them off as their own.

P.s. no more zombie/vampire crap we all sick to the back teeth of them![]()
No. I just believe people should generate their own ideas and not rip off others.
As an author I imagine you'd be pretty peeved if someone ripped off something you'd proposed and rewrote it or used it elsewhere. Given that I've read several of your books as well as threads and have seen the referencing you do I would think you would be someone that disapproved of idea theft.
Asking for help with ideas and then receiving that help on a clear and voluntary basis from participants does not constitute plagiarism and, for all anyone knows, this thread or individuals herein could be cited at a later date.
I'm pretty sure that plagiarism is a crime under UK copyright law so go ahead and get in touch with your local constabulary as you appear to feel very strongly.
