A Budget Gaming Build AMD/Intel

I want to build a new gaming system and I don't know where to start. I've asked similar questions before on these forums. But that was when I had an interest in over clocking. After doing some research into over clocking, I've come to the conclusion that I have no interest in it. I intended to build an AMD based system in order to be able to over clock at a cheaper price point. Now I don't want to over clock, I'm lost in a sea of CPU's that confuse me. I want my new system to be able to play games quite well. This is why I'm willing to spend £200 on the GPU itself. I want my CPU to be quite 'powerful' and be able to handle various different tasks at the same time. Video editing is something I'd like to learn about and I know a CPU with more cores is better for that. However, video editing isn't as important as gaming for me at the moment, but I would like to leave the way open to possibly upgrading my system in order to do some light video editing. This is a budget build. If the product is worth the wait, I can always save more cash in the following month to buy that specific part. I want to try and spend around £500, not including the GPU as that'll be something I upgrade in the future, hence the £200 I want to spend on it. Can anyone recommend any specifications for me?

Here are some core parts for £500.

Z97 so you can drop a K series i7 in later and overclock it.

Notice the much better cooler than below, which is £5 more expensive but adds only 50p to the total price:D

Is this R9 290 too much for you - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-166-PC&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

Would you consider a Bgrade card?

I'd imagine you get free shipping if you are in mainland UK?
Assumes your HDD is SATA/compatible with motherboard of course though :)

AMD would also be able to overclock of course, but this is -K CPU so can too :)

I forgot to mention that I've already got a PC case picked for my next build and it is the Fractal Design Define R5. I don't require an SSD for the time being and I don't need any HDD's as I have a few lay around the house. As for the card, it is fine, but will it play most games in 1080p with higher than average graphics settings? I've also been told by a few people that Powercolor is a company I should avoid. Is this true? Finally, is that PSU going to be big enough or should I consider using the savings from the SSD/HDD to bump up the PSU to a 700w+? I've never heard of SuperFlower.

I have heard of people having issues with Power color and also others.

A good 550W PSU is fine for a single 290/970 card.

Superflower are a company that provides PSU for others to stick their own label onto, they are a quality brand.

A 290 will monster 1080P resolution.

So you are just after these parts?

No. I'm after a;

CPU
Motherboard
GPU
PSU
RAM
CPU Cooler

I've already got a case, mouse, keyboard, monitor and HDD.

Yes, add the GFX card as you said it was £500 those parts and £200 for the card.

When I say GPU, I just mean suggestions. The problem is, I want to build the system ASAP. To spend £200 on a GPU, I'll need to save some more cash and wait longer to finish building the system. So I might be better spending a little less on the GPU. This is something I've just come to realise now. Sorry lol :D
