Well, ive just had a weird bug type thing...

Managed to hit a fed during a nice pirate hunting session, as ive done a dozen times, no problem killed the pirate and dock at the nearest outpost station to pay the fine... only the fine isnt there to pay, im showing as "Wanted" but unable to pay off the fine. Ive checked the reputation status and its showing Wanted with Empire, so i try and empire controlled outpost, still nothing, empire controlled station, twitchy bum as ive seen how fast the station guns rip ships apart and again nothing...

So i log off, google the problem, check the support forums, nothing... log back on and the Wanted status and 300cr fine has vanished.

I've just had pretty much exactly this happen to me today too. Fines earnt while on a 'blow up the traders' mission for the Empire, couldn't pay them off at any of the three stations in system, logged off, back on, and wanted status + all fines have vanished...

I run a cobra which is worth 9.5mill or thereabouts... running railguns and missiles and mostly a class equipment. Also have a type 6 sat at the end of a great trade route in case i need to top up funds. Having a blast. I can see little point in going any further with ship shinyitis at the moment so im working on empire standing, combat rating and hoarding money in preparation for the introduction of the imperial courier...

Haha, you just made me daydream. Imagine when we can get out of our ships and explore stations. You get to the kitchen, sit down and make a coffee. Damn, no coffee... Put a bulletin board notice up: Need Coffee. And bogroll. And some hydrogen for the heating. And some Aluminium to patch up the living quarters where some eejit in a Cobra lost control and damaged into the station hull.

One day you hear rumours of another faction wanting to invade- time to order in some weapons, armour and ammo.

It'd be a bit like an real-life X-Com with a mix of Rust. I want that.
 
Im also looking forwards to the introduction of a type of crafting, hoping that the requirement of the starbases arent huge and that a small outfit like OcUK will be able to build our own little base within a couple of months.

Understand how to dock, how to launch, what Rebuy cost is and why you should never leave port without it.

Once you've got those down, have a muck around and come back to us with any specific questions.

Damn it! Some stupid Anaconda just flew straight into me at a nav point. I was just scanning it to see if it was wanted and the damn thing pivoted and slammed into my head on! Took 51% of my hull :(

Play the tutorials for sure. They help a lot and whilst it is slow to get credits, make sure you enjoy yourself by doing whatever you like. Do some trading, do some USS searching, do some exploring.
