What's the most you've spent on a game?

On DCS I don't know perhaps €200 -------- EDIT Just checked, it is actually $490 - wow! Still worth every penny for me.
On peripherals, over the years perhaps €1500

EDIT:- This has also been through many full rebuilds of my rig too., just for DCS = €more than I care to admit --- €x,000s

I've spent a fair bit on Eve Subs, a few other mmo's etc but the cost has never really bothered me, it's the man hours wasted on playing them that annoys me.

Wish i could just stop playing them and never pick them up again, I'd be a lot more productive in life :(

I have been paying for multiple accounts for eve online for just under 6 years thats a few grand...

4 accounts on eve but use in game money to play.. think I paid for 1st 6 months when I had 1 account.

Wonder if people are factoring in joysticks for elite dangerous.. hOTAS ain't cheap

£30 for GTA3, and about that for Command & Conquer/ Red Alert box set. Similar amount for a couple of issues of Champ Manager/ Football Manager.

And about £70 spread over 3 years on an online F1 management game.

Funcom MMPORGS for me, Anarchy Online for about 6 years, then Conan for another 3 and Secret world (i learnt my lesson there and bought the lifetime offer when it was cheap)

I guess adding all that up over 10+ years maybe £2000 or so just for games.

Without going back and working it out pound for pound it's going to be one of the following:

Star Trek online (Box + Lifetime sub and a couple of assorted store packs)
City of Heroes/Villians (both games + sub)
Marvel heroes (I'm one of those that hurls money at the screen whenever they release a pack of new content)
SWTOR - Collectors edition + 6 month sub.

Most expensive sub for me was £40 per month legends everquest 1 server.

Most expensive game purchase Everquest Landmark Alpha £100 = joke SOE are loosing there way.

also

Elite Dangerous £100 Premium Beta - worth it imo.

Most spent on in game purchases £130 SWTOR - those chests were addictive.

I've played Runescape on and off for about 8 years now so probably ~£300 on that. As an upfront purchase probably £65 on a special edition game.

I used to make scripts for a bot client for that game lol.

On topic. Most I paid in a single transaction has to be £70 Battlefield 3 premium. In monthly subscriptions I have probably spent a lot more, probably in the region of £500.
These days I don't play subscription games and I always wait for sales and stuff. Generally I spend £20 max on games now, although I make an exception if something really catches my eye, which isn't often.

On a game was either bf3/4 on a sub based game most probably Daoc dual boxed from almost release for 3-4 years.

£50 on guild wars 2 when it first came out. Played it for all of about 5 hours :( I LOVED the original, but proper MMOs i just can't seem to get into, the story to the game feels to bland and unengaging, and often very disjointed. The original guild wars though had an awesome story to go along with it, and always felt challenging.

Apart from that one off £50, there's been a few £40 games. I only tend to pay that for a game when I'm certain i'll enjoy it though (such as my GTAV preorder), otherwise i try and wait till it's <£30

EDIT: Actually, i'm lieing, i forgot abotu world of tanks...i've bought gold in that game 5-6 times :x so probably £100-150 on that. eek.
