Is that taking into account the cost of the goods? I gave that lux run a go but did not seem that profitable with 100ish cargo space (it is perf enhancers that you buy?), so went back to rares.

Yer, it worked out at 240K for 280 tonnes of performance enhancers for me. A sweet run that was easy to make plenty of credits in quick time.

I thought I would hit the credits hard and grab a T9 and try my hand in that and Wow!!! this thing is a proper slug to turn and move. Takes forever and the FSD is poo, even with a A6 and more or less the top end of eberything. The best I can get upto is 13Ly jump ish.

I think the reputation system is broken. I got a mission from Gold Advanced Partners in Banki to kill pirates. I did that, which were all members of the Banki Gold Gang, their opposing faction in the civil war in that system. And yet doing so has somehow made me unfriendly with Gold Advanced Partners!

Just purchased my T9 an hour ago, my immediate reaction:

I-made-a-huge-mistake-Mistake-The-Mistake-GIF.gif

I guess trading in my Clipper has spoilt me, but I hadn't prepared myself for what a barge this thing is. On the upside though, it's so damn slow I feel quite happy running it without shields since I'm unlikely to bump anything docking at such low speeds.

I'm now back at Tenche and the credits are pouring in, which I guess is all that matters.

edit: just noticed that I had fitted D6 thrusters instead of D7 :p Now that I have the D7s installed the handling has improved from abysmal to poor

Bought this yesterday, spent a good few hours getting my Thrustmaster Warthog controller to work how I wanted. Finally got it how I want it now, and just starting a game...

I have no idea what I'm doing, put it that way lol.

It's been said many times but just do all your practising in the default sidewinder. It's free to replace so you lose nothing. As you upgrade it the replacement will cost you some money but not as much as you'll be making :)

Have fun.

Yeah, that's the impression I've got from reading around. I'll stick to the sidewinder for a bit yet.

Just started my save again, I was struggling to find work, I had a bounty for having illegal goods, and I was getting annoyed hah.

Anything you need help on just shout and people will jump in. We want everyone getting the most out of this game :)

Found my second wind on this today.

Spent a few hours at a nav point boiling up wanteds and pirates, made a nice amount of credits and my Cobra is now a nasty piece of work.

However, took on a six figure bounty for General blah blah. Easy I thought....

Investigated a USS to be confronted by the most tricked out 'conda I ever encountered. Fragged me in about twenty seconds. Jesus, I was properly schooled! Not so confident anymore lol

I just died for the first time.

All my bounties I had still to collect with different factions are now gone from my contacts list. Is that right I had over 300k still to collect.

May I ask if you guys kept your T9s after you purchased your 'Condas?

Seems to me that the Anaconda can be a very effective trader in its own right, and the extra money from selling the T9 sure would come in handy for purchasing a few upgrades...

I did sell my T9 yeah, I got to around 150M then sold it, now at 240M total assets - the Anaconda is a very good trading ship - much better jump range and better to fly than the type-9, only 50 less cargo capacity with a shield.

It's also much more versatile than a Python - which is awesome at combat, but not so great at trading, in the Anaconda I can switch between either and it's fine,

The only problem is that when you go for the bigger modules - especially the large A/B7 shield generators, AND you have everything else, power becomes a problem, the A8 reactor I think is 91M cr I think,

I sold my T9...I can make ~2 million an hour extra luxury trading in the Anaconda over the T9 despite have less cargo capacity due to quicker turnaround.
