Anyone going to put a bid in for this

Was always jealous of one I used to see regularly on my way to work when my car was a scratty little 1.2 nova. It just looks so dated now. It would be a loooong way down my list if was going to pop 100 grand on a 'show' car.

Having driven one back in the day back to back with a Sierra 4x4 Cosworth, I honestly found the Ford the superior car, whilst the Lancia was better on the Rally stages, the Ford trounced it on the road.

I wouldn't pay £9k for either today, never mind 90k!

Am I the only one who actually thinks it hardly being driven is an utter shame?

Absolutely agree with this. Especially as it is what it is - it's not pretty, not a show thing, it's designed to go fast on rally stages, so a real shame for it to sit under a cover in a garage. Welcome to commodity-classics though :(.

Agreed it's a shame it's not been driven but anyone who buys it for 90k isn't going to drive it else it'll devalue unless they're made of money so much that they don't care.

My mate had one of these and a RWD Sapphire Cosworth, the Lancia felt more scary as was like being in a shoe box. The Sapp was hugely quick but it was running around 400 horses but felt the superior car for sure.

Aye, were any of these Sierras standard? - the the one I referred to was running in excess of 300bhp (courtesy of Tony Mannock at Turbosystems), with reliability too, great cars of their time.

Your dig at Porsche tonight on Facebook made me smile btw! :D

Could not believe it, in short they will be getting £144 for washing my car poorly, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBS!

Curiously enough I was looking at a near-identical one, with 80-odd miles on the clock, in October.

I wonder if it was the same car, and if the mileage was just incorrectly listed.

Only worth buying if you intend to store it. Doing anything else with it would cripple its value.

I'd rather buy a superb 8V or 16V, or maybe an Evo, and then £10k on modernising and uprating it so it doesn't pale in comparison to the likes of a Fiesta ST.
