UPDATE: Parvum offered me a full refund or a complete new case, decided to give them another chance and see how will it go. They will post a regular update on the case in this thread, stay around.

Beware of Parvum Systems! If anyone wants to buy a case, get a case from known manufacturers like Corsair, CoolerMaster, ThermalTake, NZXT, etc.. or create your own case and do It by yourself.

My story started when I decided to have custom made Parvum S2.0 case with a Republic of Gamers theme, had my own plan and wanted something different and unique. I contacted Justin from Parvum and been told to pay £241.65 ($364) so they can start with the project.

Service Level Agreement:
Justin said this will take 3 weeks to be done (from starting the design concepts until shipping out the case), the case was sent to me after 2 months!!

Reason? They said I have requested extra stuff .. and guess what the extra stuff are? A black motherboard tray and an ROG logo instead of the 80mm fans!! 6 extra weeks for a black motherboard tray that they already have and an ROG logo ..

Email from Justin: http://cdn.top4top.net/i_e44f4976641.png

Quality of the Case:
So finally, I got the case .. and god .. continue reading please:

1) Quality
Never seen a low quality engraving in a case, look how the ROG logo engraved in the 80mm fans place + the borders of the 120mm fans holes has white stuff that I couldn’t remove with alcohol ..

2) SSD Locations and a wobbly case
I requested a custom SSD location, I told Justin that I have a custom ROG stickers on my SSDs and wanted them to be visible without showing the cables .. he suggested the following:

email from Justin: http://cdn.top4top.net/i_e44f4976642.png

Then I replied with: (please notice how I keep reminding him that I’ll be using a sound card AND in need of a black motherboard tray):

Email to Justin: http://cdn.top4top.net/i_61ade6df553.png

And this is what I got, a wobbly case (cables clutter under the case) and SSDs that are not visible:

A red motherboard tray and he simply replied with a “sorry” email (thankfully I had a black motherboard try from a previous Parvum S2.0 case that I bought off the internet and did not use) and the SSD location is really bad .. a sound card can block the SSD from viewing .. and installing the GPU will totally cover the SSDs.

3) PCIE bracket
PCIE bracket .. for the love of god .. got a white one instead of black (painted it black myself) + please look at how the sound card is aligned with the PCIE bracket. I broke my motherboard PCIE lane while trying to align the GPU with the PCIE bracket .. now I have to buy a new motherboard:

4) No USB 3.0 screw holes

One of the worse quality control I’ve ever seen .. they forgot to drill the USB 3.0 screw holes .. without them I can’t install the USB 3.0 module on the case:

What happened next?
Nothing .. Justin offered to change the case bottom panel to fix the SSDs location .. which will not work .. he also said he shipped the front panel with the USB 3.0 screw holes which should take 4 – 6 days (it’s been a month now and I still didn’t get anything) ..

They don't respond to your emails in time, the don't read your emails thoroughly and they don't have quality!

Please guys .. make sure to go to well-known companies for your cases, don’t waste your money on Parvum custom cases. I wasted a lot of money, broke my motherboard, my PC parts are still around for more than 3 months and still don’t have a damn PC!

This is quite sad, I feel your pain buddy. Always thought of parvum as the premium go to case designers but this definitely makes you think twice! Hope it all gets sorted for you :)

Its sad to hear a story like this, as i would hate it to happen to myself too.

That being said, i know people (on these forums) who have had other custom panels/case made by Parvum with no issues atall. It is also very rare for companies to make custom cases, down to very small (and awesome) details that you mentioned. I'm not condoning what happened, it seems like (and i hope it is) a one-off isolated incident.

(Not that i've owned one, but i have fiddled with one a mate had) The quality of their non custom cases are magnificent..

I agree with the non custom cases being good .. when it comes to custom made cases it lacks the quality ..

My money went down the drain + I need a new motherboard now

I'll second that Doom.

I got my case with a few modifications and wow, couldn't be happier. They've supported my project from the beginning and even been kind enough to give me some testers of modes/items before they go to OcUK for purchase.

It does seem like you've had bit of bad luck.

Why would you think the SSDs would be visible? The GPU is the length of the motherboard and being a micro ATX, space is going to be pushed and you can't expect anything more. If I put a sound cards or 2nd GPU in mine, yes the fan holes there would be covered - it's obvious you didn't think of that at the time.

As for cable clutter, what were you expecting? You've got 1cm clearance from the base of the case to the surface it's standing on - bad planning?

I feel your pain but you can't blame everything on Parvum!

The email that Justin sent me is in the topic above, its his recommendations .. not mine .. how would I know the measurements of the case if I dont own one?

I asked him for a way for the SSDs to be visible, he recommended that the SDDs should be on the bottom with the cable holes + I told him twice in my emails that Ill be using a GPU and a soundcard

Its funny how you call this bad luck .. but they told me they tested the case! how can they send this case if they tested it? the quality of the engraving should've stopped them from sending the case .. this tells me that they didnt test the case nor checked it out .. cut, pack and ship!

It is just bad luck!

There are loads of custom cases on this forum where customers have requested engravings and mods, no issues what so ever - bad luck!

As for the SSD, they are visible once you put then GPU & Soundcard in. Yes the most left one will be 1/4 covered by the sound card, but it's a micro atx - WTF do you expect?!!

Bad luck? Hardly, it's poor workmanship. The engraving is tatty, they have not done what the customer has asked for. The case doesn't sit flat.

I would've been on the phone to them for a refund, and if it was refused I would've been seeking legal aid.

Did you even read the OP? He asked for them to be shown, the company then put them in that location he never requested the location. The company could've quite easily have told him, but never.

Agreed! +1

I had a paruvm case. Their ok. It's not a easy case to get into. The edges are very sharp and can cut you easily. I have a engraving was good on mine, but I wouldn't buy another. It's a specialty case for special builds.

My biggest pet peev about this case is when ever you want to get into case you have to unscrew all 4 side panel screws. sorry about your issues mate. I went from parvum case to a phanteks evolv case. omg this case is amazing. Takes me 1 sec to open all side and front panels.

You'd be lucky to get through to them today, it's a Sunday.

They're on the forums, search the case section and you'll find them - drop them a message or email from their website.

Hi.

I will provide some info here for readers to take his they like before sharing my own opinion.

Parvum Systems have been an OcUK exclusive for 2 years now and in that time we have not had a single returned item.
There has been one time that I can recall that there was a problem with a Parvum case. This was resolved by us sending a spare panel from our stock and Parvum sending a replacement part for our inventory within 24 hours.

The Parvum cases stocked by OcUK are all standard design which means they do not have any special work carried out on them.

Our terms with the brand are such that if quality was not met, ocuk would be able to request replacement articles.
This has never happened. I have personally come into contact with hundreds of Parvum cases at events and at ocuk. They have all been high quality.

Some time ago, I personally approached Parvum for custom work. This involved a set of panels and fascias for a Lian Li case that I was building at the time. This took a while to produce but the results were stunning and above what I expected.

I also have recently had some accent panels for a smaller system I was building shipped to me within 24 hours.

I'm sure this all sounds very biased but having purchased more Parvum cases than anyone else on the planet, I feel that I am best suited to comment.

I have never been informed by a single end user of poor quality from them so this is honestly a first.

Whilst I will not comment on the work in the OP, I must urge you to remember that Parvum are a young company. They haven't been around long and they are spending a lot of time reinvesting in their company. That said, the company is staffed by a few people. We take in some of this weight as their distributor, but custom work orders obviously go to them directly. Randomly handing out a phone number wouldn't do much to assist you. What makes most sense is to send emails as they are trackable and manageable.

There is a very real and very distinct difference between purchasing a mass produced chassis made in the far east, and commissioning a custom/bespoke work. OP, you clearly understand this otherwise would not have asked Parvum to work on your project. Simply saying to buy a mass produced case instead is a little misguided in my opinion. If an end user wants a custom piece like you clearly have done, then a mass produced chassis will not cut the mustard.

I have sent a message to Justin this morning and given him a link to this thread. He does a great job of responding in these forums so I am sure you will not only get a public response on here but also a resolution to your problems.

The engraving doesn't look great but then you're never going to get a clean 3d engrave like that on acrylic. it would have to be cast or moulded into shape to get the result you're expecting. I would simplify it and make it just the outline or no engraving at all if you're wanting a clean result.

That had crossed my mind too! Looking at the windowed panel on my S2, there are white marks on the edge as it's bevelled, not a straight cut but the finish is perfect!

I bought the standard parvum case off you guys .. no issues at all .. but the custom made one was rushed, they used royal mail instead of using UPS to ship the replacement parts (which should take 4 - 8 weeks to be delivered without a tracking number) and they claim they tested the case before shipping it .. the pcie bracket is a joke .. and the usb screw holes?? No comment ..

I told Justin ill be putting my experience with my parvum case in different forums

Yeah the White marks are left behind from the CNC tool used to cut or engrave. The edge would have to be lightly sanded or filed then polished to get rid of these. A time consuming task when you have so many edges to do! A 3d engrave like that with so many tight corners and tight beveled edges, no chance!

What about the other issues mentioned?
